7 Days To Die Infested Clear Missions: A Comprehensive Guide

7 Days To Die offers diverse mission types, with infested missions standing out as particularly challenging yet rewarding. This guide details how to start, complete, and maximize rewards from these missions.

Starting an Infested Clear Mission

To begin, visit one of the five traders (Rekt, Jen, Bob, Hugh, or Joe). Mission difficulty depends on the tier (higher tiers are tougher) and biome (Wasteland missions are harder than forest missions). Infested missions unlock at Tier 2, requiring completion of 10 Tier 1 missions. Expect tougher zombies, including radiated, cops, and ferals. Tier 6 missions are the most difficult but offer the best rewards for well-equipped players. The objective remains consistent: eliminate all enemies in a designated area.

Completing an Infested Clear Mission

Upon reaching the Point of Interest (POI), activate the mission marker. Leaving the area or dying results in mission failure. POIs often have designed paths; avoid these to bypass traps. Carry building blocks to escape traps or create alternate routes to surprise enemies. Red dots on the screen indicate zombie proximity, with larger dots signifying closer threats. Focus on headshots; however, be mindful of special zombie types:

Cops Spit toxic vomit, explode when injured Observe their pre-spit head toss for cover; maintain distance to avoid blast radius.
Spiders Jump long distances Listen for their screech before they jump; use quick headshots.
Screamers Summon other zombies Prioritize eliminating them to prevent overwhelming hordes.
Demolition Zombies Carry explosive packages Avoid hitting their chest; run far away if the explosive is activated.

The final room contains high-tier loot but also a large number of zombies. Ensure you're fully healed and prepared before entering. Always have an escape route planned. After clearing the zombies, collect loot (including the infested cache) and return to the trader.

Infested Clear Mission Rewards

Rewards are random, influenced by game stage, loot stage (boosted by skills like Lucky Looter and mods like Treasure Hunter), mission tier, and skill point allocation. The "A Daring Adventurer" perk significantly improves rewards: it increases Dukes earned and, at rank 4, allows selecting two rewards. Sell unwanted items to the trader for additional XP (1 XP per Duke).
