MiHoYo, the Chinese developer behind HoYoVerse, has been busy lately. Their upcoming project, previously known as Astaweave Haven, has received a significant makeover, complete with a brand-new name: Petit Planet. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing substantial changes, raising anticipation among fans.
For those unfamiliar, Astaweave Haven was generating buzz within the gacha and RPG communities. While official details remain scarce, it appears this title might diverge from HoYoVerse's established open-world gacha formula. Early indications suggest a life-simulation or management game experience, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This leads us to the exciting news: the name change.
The new moniker, Petit Planet, is a welcome surprise. It's undeniably charming and hints at the game's potential as a management sim, distinct from MiHoYo's typical gacha RPGs.
Release Date Uncertainty
Currently, the game's release date is unconfirmed. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile platforms in July. However, the October 31st registration of Petit Planet in the U.S. and U.K. suggests the renaming process is underway.
Given MiHoYo's history of rapid-fire releases (consider the quick succession of Zenless Zone Zero after Honkai: Star Rail), fans are hopeful that the name approval will be followed by a swift unveiling of Petit Planet's gameplay.
