Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7: A Glimpse into Terrifying New Evil Endings
A chilling preview of Baldur's Gate 3's upcoming Patch 7 reveals a terrifying new evil ending, showcasing the Dark Urge's descent into ultimate darkness.
An Evil Ending Fit for Bhaal
Larian Studios unveiled a 52-second cinematic teaser on X (formerly Twitter), offering a glimpse into the sinister consequences of a fully evil playthrough. The Dark Urge, succumbing to their father's influence, takes control of the Netherbrain, resulting in a horrific fate for their companions.
Spoiler Alert!
The preview depicts the Dark Urge's companions meeting their demise at their leader's hands. A chilling narration underscores the scene: "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's," foreshadowing a reign of terror under Bhaal.
This is just one of several new evil endings promised for Patch 7. Larian previously hinted at other dark conclusions, including the Dark Urge walking amidst a sea of blood and corpses, and a town consumed by "sheer mindless bliss" orchestrated by The True Absolute. These endings are not exclusive to Dark Urge playthroughs.
More Than Just Evil Endings in Patch 7
Patch 7 is a massive update, including:
- New evil endings (as detailed above).
- Dynamic split-screen for co-op gameplay.
- Enhanced Honour Mode challenges.
- A highly anticipated modding toolkit.
Larian Studios has confirmed this is not the end for Baldur's Gate 3, with crossplay and photo mode still on the roadmap.
