Blasphemous, the critically acclaimed 2D platformer drawing inspiration from religious iconography and Spanish folklore, is now available on Android! This release includes all DLC, gamepad support, and a completely redesigned user interface optimized for mobile. The iOS version is coming soon.
The game's gothic atmosphere, intense side-scrolling combat, and challenging difficulty are hallmarks of its design. Players take on the role of The Penitent One, a warrior battling to liberate the cursed island of Cvstodia from the blight known as The Miracle. Expect brutal encounters with grotesque creatures born from a twisted blend of religious imagery and Spanish mythology.
Blasphemous' mobile adaptation features a revamped UI and intuitive touch controls. Bluetooth gamepad compatibility is also included for players who prefer traditional controller input. All DLC is integrated into this mobile release.
iOS users will need to wait until late February 2025 for the game's release. However, given its overwhelmingly positive reception, the wait will likely be worthwhile.
Mobile platformers can be a mixed bag, with touchscreen controls sometimes proving less than ideal for precise platforming.
