Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Testing: Dates Confirmed!
Get ready, Call of Duty fans! The official Call of Duty podcast has revealed the dates for the Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta. This beta will be split into two phases, offering a sneak peek at the upcoming title.
Two-Phase Beta Access:
- Early Access (August 30th - September 4th): Available to those who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or have active subscriptions to select Game Pass plans.
- Open Beta (September 6th - 9th): Free for everyone to experience!
Mark your calendars! The full game launches October 25th, 2024, on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
New Gameplay Mechanics and Features:
Treyarch's associate director of design, Matt Scronce, shared exciting details during the podcast:
- Multiplayer Maps: 16 maps at launch – 12 standard 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps playable in 6v6 or 2v2 modes.
- Zombies Mode Returns: Two brand-new maps are included in this popular mode.
- Omnimovement: A new movement mechanic is being introduced.
- Traditional Scorestreaks: Making a comeback, scorestreaks will reset upon player death.
- Dedicated Melee Weapon Slot: Carry a melee weapon without sacrificing your secondary weapon!
