Treyarch is developing a highly anticipated in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, absent from the initial release despite its presence in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, is currently under development. While a release date remains unannounced, its arrival is expected soon, potentially coinciding with the Season 2 update later this month.
A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes for both Multiplayer and Zombies modes, including UI and audio improvements and an XP boost for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Significantly, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from the January 3rd update, removing extended round times and zombie spawn delays in Directed Mode following player feedback.
Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed
Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding to a fan request. The feature's absence in Black Ops 6 was a source of significant player disappointment, given its popularity in Modern Warfare 3. This addition will greatly benefit players pursuing Mastery camos, providing real-time challenge progress updates within the game's UI, similar to Modern Warfare 3's implementation.
Additional Upcoming Changes
Treyarch also confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, addressing another player request. This will eliminate the need to constantly adjust HUD settings when switching between game modes.
