Captain America: Brave New World clocks in as the shortest Captain America film, and one of the shortest MCU films overall.
AMC Theatres confirmed a runtime of 1 hour and 58 minutes, placing it among the few MCU films under two hours, and the seventh shortest of 35 films. This is notably shorter than the previous three Captain America films, all exceeding two hours.
While most shorter MCU films hail from Phases 1 and 2, some recent exceptions exist. The shortest, at 1 hour and 45 minutes, is 2022's The Marvels, followed by The Incredible Hulk, Thor: The Dark World, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Ant-Man.

Brave New World, alongside Ant-Man and The Wasp (also 1 hour 58 minutes), will soon join the MCU lineup. In contrast, Avengers: Endgame holds the record for the longest MCU film at 3 hours and 1 minute, followed by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Eternals, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Despite its upcoming February 14th release, Brave New World reportedly underwent extensive rewrites and reshoots (including scenes with WWE star Seth Rollins), though the impact on the final runtime remains unclear.
Starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, this film marks the first Captain America movie post-Chris Evans' Steve Rogers. Mackie has described it as a grounded espionage thriller, continuing the series' legacy.
The film promises to feature lesser-known Marvel characters, including a payoff to a tease in The Incredible Hulk, with the introduction of The Leader and Red Hulk.
