Tomb Raider's iconic heroine, Lara Croft, is officially joining the Dead by Daylight survivor roster on July 16th! Behavior Interactive's announcement confirms long-standing speculation, bringing one of gaming's most celebrated adventurers to the Entity's Realm. This follows recent additions like Vecna and Chucky, solidifying Dead by Daylight's reputation for exciting crossovers.
Following the Dungeons & Dragons chapter, Dead by Daylight will welcome Lara Croft, based on the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot. PC players get a head start via early access to the Steam public test build before the official launch across all platforms. While a trailer is still pending, Behavior Interactive describes Lara as "the ultimate survivor," a fitting title given her history of daring escapades.
Beyond Lara Croft, Dead by Daylight's 8th-anniversary livestream revealed additional surprises: a thrilling new 2v8 mode pitting two Killers against eight Survivors; a project with Supermassive Games, casting Frank Stone; and a highly anticipated Castlevania chapter later this year.
Lara Croft's addition coincides with renewed interest in the Tomb Raider franchise. Aspyr recently released a remastered collection of the original trilogy, and Tomb Raider: Legend received a PS5 port. Further fueling the Lara Croft excitement is an upcoming animated series, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, premiering in October 2024, featuring Hayley Atwell as Lara's voice.
