Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
With the PC release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth just two weeks away, Square Enix has updated the system requirements, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. The updated specifications reveal that a high-end graphics card boasting 12-16GB of VRAM is recommended for 4K gameplay.
The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate on PC, promising enhanced visuals. This follows the November release of a PS5 Pro enhancement patch, further showcasing Square Enix's commitment to visual fidelity. However, unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, Rebirth will not receive any post-launch DLC, as the developer's focus is now on Part 3 of the Remake project.
Square Enix clarified previous specifications, emphasizing the 12-16GB VRAM recommendation for 4K resolution on a PC. Minimum requirements remain consistent with previous announcements, needing a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPU options include the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, while the GPU requirements specify an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent, with higher-end cards suggested for optimal performance at higher resolutions.
