Marvel's upcoming Godzilla crossover continues with a thrilling new installment: Godzilla vs. Spider-Man #1! This one-shot special, hitting shelves April 30, 2025, pits the King of the Monsters against the web-slinger in a retro showdown set shortly after the events of 1984's Secret Wars.

The story finds Peter Parker, still adjusting to the symbiote suit's effects, facing an unprecedented threat. This nostalgic adventure, penned by Joe Kelly (the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man relaunch writer) and illustrated by Nick Bradshaw (with cover art by Bradshaw, Lee Garbett, and Greg Land), promises a chaotic and exhilarating encounter.
Kelly himself describes the project as "a chance to go nuts," capturing the spirit of 80s comics while delivering a respectful portrayal of both iconic characters. Unlike DC's Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong, this series features Toho's classic Godzilla.
This exciting announcement follows the release of Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1 and Godzilla vs. Hulk #1, and precedes IDW's charity anthology Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1. For more comic book news, check out Marvel and DC's 2025 plans.
