Pokémon GO's Halloween event is creeping closer! Niantic has unveiled the details for Part 1, with a Part 2 to follow. Get ready for exciting features and spooky Pokémon encounters.
The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, to Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Event Highlights:
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Its Full Belly and Hangry Modes, each affecting its Aura Wheel Charged Attack (100 power, Attack boost), will add an exciting twist to battles.
During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in the GO Battle League's premium track, and afterwards will be available from Rank 16 onwards (though still more common in premium battles).
A Spooky Atmosphere:
Enjoy a special Halloween atmosphere with holiday-themed decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme playing nightly. Experience the eerie ambiance with this Lavender Town remix:
Dynamax Gastly will appear in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
A free Timed Research event, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits, runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Complete tasks to encounter Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
