This move likely stems from the recent success of Balatro, a popular roguelike poker game. Instead of simply copying the formula, however, King is cleverly integrating their signature Candy Crush elements.
Expect a classic tripeaks solitaire experience enhanced with familiar Candy Crush boosters, blockers, and a progression system. Pre-registration is now open on both iOS and Android, offering exclusive in-game rewards like a unique card back, 5,000 coins, and several power-up cards.
A Calculated Risk? King's reliance on the Candy Crush franchise is well-documented. Unlike some competitors, they haven't heavily invested in experimental games.
