Xbox Game Pass is enhancing its rewards program with the introduction of Quests for PC users, bringing more earning opportunities to the platform. Starting January 7th, players aged 18 and older will gain access to these new features.
This update introduces daily, weekly, and monthly quests designed to encourage exploration of the Game Pass catalog. Players earn points by playing games for at least 15 minutes, with bonus multipliers for consistent weekly playtime. The weekly streak system returns, offering increased point rewards for maintaining a streak across multiple weeks. Additional monthly challenges involve playing a set number of different games.
Key changes include:
- PC Game Pass Quests: Available January 7th for players 18+.
- New Quest Types: Daily Play, Weekly Streaks (with increasing multipliers), Monthly 4-Pack and 8-Pack challenges.
- PC Weekly Bonus: 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
- Age Restriction: The Rewards Hub and associated benefits are now exclusively for players 18 and older. Younger players can only earn rewards through parental purchases from the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate gaming experiences with this update. While the new Quests and increased reward opportunities benefit older players, younger users can still enjoy their Game Pass subscriptions, albeit without access to the enhanced rewards system.
