The enchanting cozy adventure game, Mika and the Witch's Mountain, is set to launch on multiple platforms on January 22, 2025! Initially released in early access on August 21, 2024, the full version will be available for Nintendo Switch, PC (via Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. This wholesome game, inspired by Studio Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service, has already charmed players with its unique gameplay and heartwarming story.
Players take on the role of Mika, a young witch working as a parcel courier in a charming town nestled at the foot of a magical mountain. The early access period saw the addition of highly-requested features, including a fishing mini-game, Churro and Kitten mini-games, pet companions, expanded language support, cosmetic items, and new achievements. All these additions, and more, will be included in the full release.
As confirmed by developers Chibig and Nukefist (via Gematsu), a post-launch update, "Into the Mont Gaun," will introduce dungeon gameplay reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda series. This update marks the final content addition, bringing the game to its envisioned completed state as originally planned during its 2023 Kickstarter campaign. With overwhelmingly positive Steam reviews, Mika and the Witch's Mountain is a promising title for fans of relaxing adventure games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
