Hunt a New Beast!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February. Following the success of the initial beta, this second phase offers players another opportunity to dive into the game before its official release on February 28th. The announcement was made by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto in a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.
The Open Beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This beta features new content, including the formidable Gypceros, a returning monster from the series.
Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, though progress will not be saved. Participants will receive in-game rewards: a decorative Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a special bonus item pack to aid early game progression.
"We understand many missed the first beta or wanted a second chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is diligently working on finalizing the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed planned improvements, these changes won't be included in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready to hunt!
