Disney Dreamlight Valley's latest update, "Lucky Dragon," introduces Mulan and Mushu! This exciting update, launched June 26th, unveils a new Realm, allowing players to participate in Mushu's training regimen to unlock Mulan as a companion. Prior to the launch, weeks of teasers hinted at not only a new Realm, but also decorating system enhancements, a "Memory Mania" event inspired by Inside Out 2, and the debut of the "Majesty and Magnolias" Star Path, boasting exclusive rewards like hairstyles and outfits.
The update follows the successful Dreamlight Parks Fest (May 15th - June 5th), which featured Disney Parks-themed activities and rewards. Pride Month was also celebrated with a vibrant collection of Pride-themed items.
Once Mulan is awakened, players can build her and Mushu homes, embarking on companion quests. Mushu requires assistance constructing his Dragon Temple, while Mulan focuses on her Tea Stall, providing new recipe ingredients. The Majesty and Magnolias Star Path offers Mulan-inspired decorations, clothing, and hairstyles.
Beyond the new characters and Realm, the Lucky Dragon update introduces the Island Getaway House Bundle to the Premium Shop, featuring Lilo & Stitch-themed decorations. Stitch even sports a new Parks-inspired summer look! The Memory Mania event, tied to Inside Out 2, challenges players to find Riley's belongings (hockey gear, trophies, cakes) to unlock emotion-themed animal companions.
Remy's daily food delivery requests reward players with Wrought Iron, used to craft new outdoor furniture for Chez Remy.
The patch notes also highlight significant quality-of-life improvements: easier duplication of inventory items, simplified path/fence swapping, a toggle to hide Touch of Magic furniture in Camera Mode for improved DreamSnap creation, the ability to use Goofy's Stall during Valley Visits, and the inclusion of animal companions during Valley Visits.
