Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is officially shutting down on October 30th, 2024. This news, recently revealed on the official Netmarble forums, marks the end of over six years of action-packed gameplay and numerous high-profile crossovers.
The in-game store has already closed on June 26th, 2024, ending the ability to purchase in-game currency. While the game enjoyed positive reviews and millions of downloads, citing reasons for the closure, developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt from the original King of Fighters series. However, this is likely just one factor among many contributing to the decision. Recent optimization issues and game crashes may have also played a role.
Despite these challenges, players have praised the game's smooth animations and engaging PvP battles. If you haven't experienced King of Fighters ALLSTAR yet, you have approximately four months remaining to enjoy its legendary fights and characters. Download it from the Google Play Store before the servers go offline in October.
