Prominent streamers TimTheTatman and Nickmercs have publicly addressed the recent Dr Disrespect controversy, sparked by revelations from a former Twitch employee. The controversy centers around allegations of Dr Disrespect engaging in inappropriate conversations with a minor via Twitch's defunct, unencrypted Whispers feature.
Former Twitch employee Cody Conners alleges that these conversations led to Dr Disrespect's termination from Twitch in 2020. Dr Disrespect subsequently released a statement acknowledging conversations with a minor that he admits were "inappropriately suggestive."
