Pokémon Go’s Fashion Week will return next week

A new year means all the events are returning to Pokémon Go for another time. One of the first to come back is Fashion Week, which runs in the AR game from January 10th to 19th. This event will feature costumed Pokémon, special bonuses, and a myriad of reasons to head out and explore your surroundings.

During Fashion Week in Pokémon Go, catching Pokémon will reward you with double Stardust, and Trainers level 31 and up will have an increased chance of earning Candy XL. If you’re shiny hunting, you’ll find a boosted chance to encounter Shiny Kirlia and other event-themed Pokémon in the wild, through Field Research tasks, and in raids.

Several costumed Pokémon are making their debut, including Minccino and its evolution, Cinccino, dressed in fashionable outfits. There’s also a chance to encounter a Shiny Minccino, so keep looking. Wild encounters will feature Pokémon like Diglett, Blitzle, Furfrou, and Kirlia, all dressed in themed costumes.

The raids offer additional challenges, with Pokémon like Shinx and Dragonite appearing in their own stylish attire. One-star raids include Shinx, Minccino, and Furfrou, while three-star raids feature Butterfree and Dragonite. Each has a chance to appear shiny, so whether you're hunting in the wild or battling in raids, you're bound to find a shiny or two this time.
