These passionate fans flocked to Pokémon Go Fest in Madrid (previously covered), exploring the city, hunting rare Pokémon, connecting with fellow players, and celebrating the game. But the excitement extended beyond Pokémon—it became a backdrop for proposals!
At least five couples, their love fueled by their shared passion for the game, popped the question on camera, all receiving joyful "yeses."
Madrid's magical proposals Martina, who proposed to Shaun after eight years, including six of long-distance relationship, shared, "It was the perfect moment. We've finally settled together, and this is the best way to celebrate our new life."
The Madrid event, held earlier this month, attracted over 190,000 attendees—a significant number, even compared to other large-scale events. Niantic's special proposal package suggests many more proposals likely occurred, though not all were recorded. Regardless, the event highlights the game's role in bringing couples together.
