Saros Revealed at the February 2025 State of Play
A 2026 Release
Housemarque's Saros, a PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro exclusive, is set to launch sometime in 2026. Building upon the exhilarating gameplay of Returnal, this new IP stars Arjun Devraj, portrayed by actor Rahul Kohli, promising a fresh and evolved 3rd-person action experience.
Evolving the Formula: Come Back Stronger
According to Housemarque's creative director, Gregoy Louden, Saros was conceived to allow Returnal to stand independently while simultaneously launching a new franchise. While Returnal offered a constantly shifting roguelike environment, Saros will introduce persistent and upgradeable loadouts, including weapons and suits, enabling players to "Come Back Stronger" and overcome challenges.
