Sega unleashes a wave of Sonic mobile game updates timed with the imminent release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. These updates, spanning titles like Sonic Dream Team, Sonic Dash, and Sonic Forces, deliver fresh content inspired by the upcoming film.
First up, Sonic Forces receives a significant boost on December 12th with the introduction of a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition features three challenging tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other classic characters. Complete these levels before seeing the movie for the ultimate experience.
Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team welcomes Shadow as a playable character, equipped with his signature Chaos Control and Chaos Shift abilities. Unlock him by tackling Tails’ Challenges. New powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost enhance gameplay for all characters, while Shadow gets exclusive upgrades, including Double Chaos Shift. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks, along with a revamped tutorial, round out this update.
Sonic Dash's update arrives on December 20th, offering players the chance to collect cards and unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily challenges provide additional rewards. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will receive its Shadow-themed update in January.
