Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the global release, launched in June 2020.
Two Months Remain
The game's shutdown is imminent. In-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased following the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.
Despite stunning visuals and a generous gacha system, the global version received a mixed reception, unlike its popular Japanese counterpart. The omission of significant content like Solistia and 6-star unit upgrades, available in Japan for nearly a year, contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately, the server closure.
Community Feedback
This closure follows Square Enix's shutdown of several other titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games.
Romancing SaGa Re:universe, a classic turn-based RPG, offers players two final months of gameplay. Whether you're a longtime fan or a curious newcomer, there's still time to experience this installment of the SaGa franchise before the servers go offline. Download it now from the Google Play Store.
