Thanks to its summer update, Stellar Blade saw a remarkable 40.14% jump in players. This success can be attributed to the update's new content, including bug fixes, stylish new outfits, and a limited-time event.
Data from TrueTrophies, in partnership with GameInsights, analyzing over 3.1 million active PSN accounts, confirmed this significant player increase. The absence of a PS Store sale during the same period strongly suggests the new content was the driving force behind the surge. While the anticipated photo mode remains absent, and the event is time-limited, the positive community response and player return demonstrate the update's effectiveness in rekindling fan enthusiasm.
The update introduced a temporary summer vacation area within the Great Desert Oasis, featuring new music and interactive sunbeds. Two themed outfits were added to Clyde’s shop. Crucially, the update also addressed various issues, such as correcting the hair color in the Boss Challenge Preset, alongside other bug fixes.
Launched exclusively on PS5 on April 26th, 2024, Stellar Blade quickly gained recognition for its dynamic combat and impressive visuals.
