Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure, Universe for Sale, is now available. Akupara Games has already released several captivating titles this year, including The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti.
Is the Universe Actually for Sale?
The game unfolds on a Jupiter space station, a bizarre, atmospheric bazaar shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprisingly sharp wit work the docks, and cultists barter flesh for enlightenment.
The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the remarkable ability to conjure universes from her hand.
The game begins in the ramshackle mining colony shantytown. You play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment – a character both unsettling and intriguing.
Exploring the rickety tea shops and other strange establishments, you eventually encounter Honin’s Tea House, Lila’s shop. Lila's enigmatic nature unfolds as you shift between her perspective and the Master's throughout the game.
As Lila, you create universes in a captivating mini-game, blending ingredients to produce mesmerizing visual worlds. As the Master, you delve into the Cult of Detachment's philosophies and encounter the Church of Many Gods.
The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting players to theorize about the underlying events. Every character, be it human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world invites exploration.
