Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces Golden Idols, unique quest items not automatically logged. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't traded with NPCs to advance a questline; instead, they're valuable commodities. This guide details their location and how to maximize their worth.
Finding the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll arrive in Utzaal, the Drowned City (its past glory). Five Golden Idols are hidden within Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat. They aren't random enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in secluded side rooms.

Glorious Idol
Golden Idol
Grand Idol

- Elegant Idol
Cashing In Your Idols
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment. Not all vendors will buy them. Head to Oswald, located in the northern part of the encampment. He'll appraise your idols, and you can sell them through his Buy/Sell interface for a substantial sum:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields 6000 gold. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable trade goods, it's advisable to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
