Valve has rolled out another surprise update for Deadlock, this time focusing on a smaller set of changes affecting four heroes. Calico received a significant nerf, with her Return to Shadows ability substantially weakened. The cooldown has been increased by ten seconds, and 20% of its speed boost has been shifted to tier 2. Additionally, the damage output of her tier 2 Leaping Slash has been reduced.
Sinclair received visual and audio improvements, with updated sounds and animations. More significantly, his Rabbit Hex ability has been reworked into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also saw nerfs in this update.
Several item adjustments were also implemented. Ammo Scavenger now grants fewer stacks and no longer provides a health bonus. Furthermore, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot have been adjusted, removing their bonuses to fire rate and weapon damage, respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first for February. Reflecting a shift in development strategy, Valve is now releasing updates on an as-needed basis rather than adhering to a fixed schedule. This latest patch is a prime example of this more flexible approach.
