Pokémon Go is bringing back the Bug Out event with Sizzlipede’s debut this time

Author : Lucy Update:Mar 19,2025

The Pokémon Go Bug Out event is back, bringing with it a flurry of Bug-type Pokémon and the exciting debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch! Running from March 26th to 30th, this event is brimming with wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and fresh challenges.

Lure Modules are key during this event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but catching enough Pokémon at a single PokéStop using a Lure Module will significantly increase the number of Pokémon appearing there.

Trainers will also enjoy 2x XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with increased Candy XL chances for those level 31 and above. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your chances of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are boosted.

Expect a surge of Bug-type Pokémon in the wild, including Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, Nymble, and even the rare Cutiefly.

ytSizzlipede will appear in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor dominate three-star raids. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks for Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

A free Timed Research opportunity awaits, offering encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For even more rewards, a paid Timed Research option (approximately $2 or local equivalent) provides encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges reward Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will feature event-themed Pokémon. Don't forget to grab the stylish new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket from the in-game shop!
