The new year in *Pokémon GO* is brimming with exciting Pokémon additions, and Shroodle is the latest to join the roster! Following the arrival of Fidough, trainers can now add this Toxic Mouse Pokémon to their collection. However, unlike many Pokémon, Shroodle isn't readily available as a wild spawn.
When Did Shroodle Arrive in Pokémon GO?
Shroodle, the Toxic Mouse Pokémon, made its Pokémon GO debut on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, this Pokémon is a relatively new addition to the world of Pokémon. Following the event, Shroodle will remain available for trainers to catch.
Can Shroodle Be Shiny?
Unlike some recent Pokémon introductions, Shroodle is not currently available in its Shiny form in Pokémon GO. Its Shiny variant will likely be released in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokémon or Team GO Rocket.
How to Get Shroodle in Pokémon GO

Shroodle bucks the trend of readily available wild spawns. To catch this Pokémon, you'll need to hatch it from 12KM Eggs. This is currently the only method to obtain Shroodle in Pokémon GO.
12KM Eggs collected from 12 AM local time on January 15th onwards have a chance to hatch into Shroodle. While its appearance frequency is likely higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, it should remain part of the 12KM Egg pool afterward.
How to Get 12KM Eggs
Since Shroodle is exclusively hatched from 12KM Eggs, a quick reminder on how to obtain them is in order. These are rarer eggs, and there's only one way to get them: by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff) or Giovanni. The Taken Over event is an excellent opportunity to stock up on 12KM Eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent, and Rocket Radars easier to acquire. However, you can challenge GO Rocket Grunts at any time to obtain a 12KM Egg, provided you have space in your inventory.
How to Get Grafaiai in Pokémon GO

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuted in Pokémon GO on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, it doesn't hatch from eggs or appear in the wild. Your only path to Grafaiai is by evolving a Shroodle.
Evolution requires 50 Shroodle Candy. Therefore, you'll need to hatch several Shroodle or make one your buddy to gather enough Candy for this evolution.
*Pokémon GO* is available now.
