Carplounge V4 Autopilot

Carplounge Autopilot / Raymarine Element App for RT7 & RT4 V4.

Instead of a standard remote control for our BaitBoat, the Carplounge Autopilot utilizes an Android tablet or smartphone. The required software is available for free on the Google Play Store and works on any Android device with Bluetooth. The tablet connects to the boat via Bluetooth using a transmitter box, allowing complete control through the touchscreen. In manual mode, the boat operates like a regular BaitBoat, steered directly via the touchscreen. The map displays the boat's position and route, along with its orientation (compass function!), updating in real time. Additionally, promising fishing spots identified using the echo sounder can be saved and named via the built-in GPS, such as "jetty left," "spot 1," or "home."

In autopilot mode, these points can be selected and combined into a route with specific actions (left hatch open, right hatch open, left release open, right release open, turn on lights, etc.).

Example: 1.) Navigate to position "Sandbank," open the right hopper upon arrival. 2.) Navigate to position "Spot 2," open the left hopper upon arrival. 3.) Return to the fishing spot and blink once. The boat can now be loaded and will automatically follow the predefined route. An almost unlimited number of spots and routes can be stored. Thanks to precise measurement technology, including position and acceleration sensors, along with the latest GPS and compass systems, highly accurate route guidance is possible, achieving 90% accuracy within 30cm!

Furthermore, line tensioning while driving, especially when deploying two rods simultaneously to different spots, is intelligently managed: If one or both lines are tensioned while the boat is moving, the built-in electronics detect this, and the boat steers against the tension, ensuring it stays on a direct course to the selected target without unnecessary turns that could cause line bends.

The autopilot replaces the standard remote control of the boat. However, we offer the option to connect a remote control to the autopilot. This allows you to choose whether to control the boat via your tablet or the remote control. For autopilot app control, all Android tablets with Bluetooth can be used. Currently, our app is optimized for 10-inch tablets. You can steer the BaitBoat directly via the tablet's touchscreen.

The free app, available via the Google Play Store, is continuously developed and expanded by us. Through automatic software updates via the Play Store, we can provide new feature requests, changes, and extensions for quick updates without needing to send in the autopilot or the boat. The autopilot app is updated automatically, as is standard for tablets and smartphones.

For use exclusively with the RT7 & RT4 V4.
