Ask “Where Is My Bus?” How to Get There!

You can reach your destination via multiple public transit routes in Istanbul. To explore your options, simply enter your origin and destination in the “How to Go” menu and set your travel date & time. You can plan based on your departure or arrival time. Review the route alternatives suggested by “Where Is My Bus?” according to your preference—whether you want the fastest trip or the route with minimal walking. Choose your preferred option, examine the details, and even follow the route on the map.

Find your nearest stop

From the “Stops Near Me” menu, see a list of the closest stops to your location, sorted by distance. Tap any stop to open its detail page, where you can view which lines pass through it and see real‑time bus arrival counts. Switch to map view to see stop locations and get directions.

Locate other useful transit points nearby

Find the nearest Istanbulkart filling stations or İspark parking lots to your current location—all through “Where Is My Bus?”. On the pages accessible from the side menu, you can check distances to each point, view parking capacities, and see lot types (e.g., open lot, multi‑storey garage). You can also examine these points on the map and get directions from your location to the selected spot.

Get line and route details

Search by line name to explore main and express (depar) routes for Istanbul buses. From the line detail page, select a specific route to see all its stops. Track buses in real time, with special coloring to distinguish express‑route vehicles. Switch to map view to display all routes of a line on the map—just use the filter icon in the top‑left corner to activate the routes you want to see.

Plan your trip with up‑to‑date schedules

Access the Timetables page either via the Timetables button on the home screen (search for your line) or from the line detail page. The schedule table shows times for the main route, while express‑route timings are highlighted with special colors. To see which color corresponds to which express route, open the Route Information section for reference.

Stay informed with announcements

When viewing any line or stop detail page, tap the Announcements icon to see real‑time alerts related to that line or station. You can also review historical announcements for all lines, stops, schedule changes, and route updates from the Announcements page in the side menu.
