ArtClash - Paint Draw & Sketch

Unlike Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter, ArtClash is crafted to encourage consistent practice and foster a community of artists. This work-in-progress app, developed by a single creator for personal use and now shared with the world, invites you to dive into a world of artistic challenges and social engagement.

Whether you choose to free draw or tackle specific topics with optional constraints like time limits, color restrictions, or canvas sizes, your creations can earn you points when others guess them correctly. It's an exciting way to refine your skills and connect with fellow artists.

Current Features:

• Paint: Sketch, paint, and blend with ease.
• Import images to use as references or paint over them.
• Select topics and constraints, draw, and earn points for each correct guess.
• Choose from six difficulty levels for topics, ranging from single words to complex combinations of nouns, verbs, places, and time periods.
• Opt for three types of constraints to challenge yourself and gain extra points: time, colors, or canvas size.
• Free draw anything you wish and share your masterpieces with the community.
• NSFW flag option to view or filter out content marked as not safe for work.

Early Access Issues/Bugs:

• The user interface currently lacks aesthetic appeal due to challenges with Unity UI. Plans are in place to switch to XAML for a more responsive and visually pleasing experience.
• Performance issues on lower-end devices when using canvases larger than 1024x1024. The GPU-accelerated brush engine struggles with large canvases and small brushes. Tests with other engines are underway to improve speed and efficiency.

Upcoming Features:

• New games, starting with a "telephone" game using drawings.
• Enhanced social features, including avatar changes, commenting on projects and games, and the ability to friend and follow other users.
• Improved UI and a faster brush engine to address current performance issues.
• Introduction of marquee selection and transform tools for more precise editing.
• Expanded brush library, with the ability to add and share custom brush textures.
• Enhanced layer system with features like locking transparent pixels and masking.
• A developer communication system for feature requests, bug reports, and community voting on future updates.
• Moderation system to manage flagged images and maintain community standards.
• User-submitted topics and constraints, subject to moderation, to keep the content fresh and engaging.
• Future plans include full image editing capabilities, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping.
