Mortal Kombat 1 has been keeping fans on their toes with back-to-back video releases. Just yesterday, we were treated to an esports trailer that included a tantalizing glimpse of the T-1000, but don't get too excited— the legendary Terminator isn't the next fighter to join the roster. Instead, the iconic Conan the Barbarian will be slashing his way into the game next week, exclusively for premium edition owners. Today, the MK1 team unveiled a gameplay trailer showcasing this legendary character in action.
Conan embodies the classic Big-Body brute archetype, delivering powerful attacks that likely pack a serious punch. While he may not be the most agile or swift fighter, his extended sword range could compensate for this, adding a strategic layer to his gameplay. It would be fascinating to watch Conan go head-to-head with other heavy hitters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander.
Although Conan's appearance is reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, his fatality might not leave you in awe. Instead of a flashy finish, Conan opts for a straightforward approach, drowning his opponent in a pool of acid. While it may lack the flair of other MK1 fatalities, the game's appeal extends beyond just the finishing moves. Conan the Barbarian is poised to offer an engaging and fun gameplay experience.
