Buienradar

Trying to steer clear of getting caught in a downpour? Check the live rain radar and precipitation graph!

Want to avoid stepping out into a rainstorm? Check our rain radar and rainfall graph before you leave home to stay dry.

The Buienradar app features both a 3-hour and a 24-hour rain radar forecast. The radar image shows you if and when rain is expected in the coming hours or the next day. Below the radar, the rain graph displays precisely when it will rain and the predicted rainfall amount in millimeters. For a more detailed view of your area, simply tap the magnifying glass icon to zoom in.

You can get the Buienradar app for your Android phone or tablet. With the convenient home screen widget—which includes the rain graph—you can check for incoming rain without even opening the app.

The Buienradar Wear OS app is also available again! Use it to view the rain radar, rain graph, and the forecast for the next hour. More features will be added in the coming months. Note that the Buienradar Watch App is exclusive to the Google Play Store, as it only supports wearables running Android Wear OS.

In addition to the rain radar, the app offers other useful maps and radars:

- Drizzle

Find personalized weather details in the "Komende uren in" table (Next 8-hour forecast) for your favorite locations, even abroad! It provides hour-by-hour predictions for temperature, feels-like temperature, rainfall in millimeters, chance of rain, and wind force (in Beaufort).

Beyond thunderstorm, snow, sun, wind, and temperature maps, we also provide data on wind chill, ground temperature, sun intensity, air pressure, wind gusts, visibility, and humidity, along with exact sunrise and sunset times for your location.

The app includes seasonal radar maps. In summer, use our pollen and mosquito radars to get timely alerts for when to put up your mosquito net. In winter, our snow radar keeps you informed about winter precipitation, and a dedicated ground temperature map alerts you to frost risks.

Under the "14-daagse" tab (14-day forecast), you'll find a graphical weather outlook for the next two weeks. Click the "Lijst" tab for a detailed list view, offering an hourly forecast for the next 7 days and daily averages for the following week.

In the "Meldingen" tab, you can set up a free personalized rain alert (push notification) based on your daily schedule and favorite locations, so you're never unprepared for rain or storms.

For an ad-free experience, Buienradar Premium is available for €4.99. You can find it easily in "Instellingen" (Settings)—just tap "Neem Buienradar Premium" (Get Buienradar Premium).

We are constantly working to improve the Buienradar app. If you have suggestions or questions, please reach out via the feedback form in the app or email us at [email protected]. Thank you!
