Orna, The GPS MMORPG, Is Dropping Terra's Legacy To Raise Environmental Awareness

Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is hosting Terra's Legacy, a unique in-game event tackling real-world environmental pollution. From September 9th to 19th, players will combat pollution-themed enemies and contribute to real-world cleanup efforts.

Combating Pollution, Virtually and Physically:

Terra's Legacy merges virtual gameplay with real-world action. Players locate and report polluted or littered areas within Orna, which are then transformed into in-game "Gloomsites" by Northern Forge. These Gloomsites represent the impact of pollution on our planet.

Players battle the Murk, a pollution-themed enemy, at these Gloomsites. Defeating the Murk raises awareness of real-world pollution issues. Following victory, players can plant virtual trees and grow Gaia apples in these same polluted areas. These apples serve as character customizations and magical ability boosts, and can be harvested by other players, fostering collaboration and shared rewards.

Part of the Green Game Jam 2024:

Terra's Legacy is part of the Green Game Jam 2024, an annual event where game developers create environmentally conscious in-game experiences.
