Bam Margera will indeed be featured in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite not initially being included in the announced roster of returning skaters. This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during an exclusive members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley revealed that Tony Hawk himself requested Bam Margera's inclusion in the game, even though it was already completed. Hawk's persistence paid off after being initially told it couldn't be done, showcasing the legend's determination to see Margera included.IGN has reached out to Activision for their official statement on this development.
Bam Margera, known for his roles in the Jackass franchise and as a former professional skateboarder, has faced significant personal challenges, including struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, multiple rehab visits, and being fired from Jackass Forever. Additionally, Margera was involved in a restraining order issued by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine due to alleged threats against Tremaine and his family.
Recent sightings of Margera skateboarding alongside Tony Hawk fueled speculation about his potential return to the game, which was confirmed by Bagley's announcement.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is slated for release on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the game overcame significant hurdles, including the threat of cancellation following the merger of its previous developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
