Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG boasting a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is officially ending its service. Developer Kabam announced the game's End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024. The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the title before servers shut down.
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling action RPG experience featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. Kabam encourages remaining players to conclude the final storyline before the game's closure.
Despite initial excitement, the game's two-year early access period and infrequent content updates hampered player retention. The demanding shard collection system, necessary for character maximization, proved a significant hurdle, particularly for free-to-play gamers. However, the game's creative and visually stunning character designs remain a highlight.
The abrupt EOS announcement, following the recent addition of Cinderella and new story content, surprised many. This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
