Tides of Annihilation: a beautiful action game announced

Tides of Annihilation, drawing inspiration from Arthurian legend, casts players as Gwendolyn, a young woman battling alongside spectral knights to rescue her family and mend a fractured world.

The game unfolds in a ravaged, modern-day London, overrun by a mysterious otherworldly invasion. Players will confront hordes of enemies alongside their ghostly allies, engaging in intense combat against colossal, roaming knights. Victory requires strategic gameplay, including climbing atop these formidable foes for close-quarters battles.

While boasting impressive visuals, Tides of Annihilation currently lacks a compelling narrative hook. Recent soulslike games have successfully reimagined classic tales, such as the relatively unknown "Journey to the West" and the surprisingly dark "Pinocchio" in Lies of P. However, the Arthurian legend, being frequently revisited, fails to provide Tides of Annihilation with the same fresh perspective, hindering its overall appeal despite its visual strengths.
