A charming new puzzle platformer, Cato: Buttered Cat, is on its way to Android! The game's quirky name—a blend of "cat" and "toast"—perfectly captures its whimsical nature. Ever wonder what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers at Team Woll did, and the result is a perpetually spinning feline defying gravity!
Initially showcased at the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam, Cato: Buttered Cat's positive reception led to its full development. Already released on Steam for PC, the Android version is coming soon. While the Google Play listing isn't live yet, you can pre-register via the official TapTap page.
Gameplay:
Cato: Buttered Cat lets you control both a cat and a piece of buttered toast, solving puzzles and overcoming obstacles across five unique worlds. With 200 levels (including side quests) and 30 different outfits, there's plenty to explore. The game features a hidden narrative revealed through gameplay, and the cat and toast interact in clever ways—the cat climbs and runs, while the toast acts as a controllable projectile, enabling the cat to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Expect hidden rooms and plenty of Easter eggs!
