Coming May 6

Schell Games, the developers of Among Us 3D, along with publisher Innersloth, have set the stage for the game's debut. On April 16, an announcement via Among Us 3D's official Twitter (X) revealed that the game is slated for release on May 6, 2025.

Originally known as Among Us VR, the game was rebranded to Among Us 3D to cater to a wider audience by introducing cross-play multiplayer features. Just this week, the developers introduced a new currency called Stardust, which is permanent and offers players more freedom in choosing their in-game purchases.

Among Us 3D will feature an exciting permanent Tag Mode with the new Infected role, native proximity voice chat, time-limited events, refreshed and returning mini-games, and a variety of new cosmetics.

To clarify, Among Us 3D and the previously released Among Us VR in 2022 are distinct games, and cross-play between them is not available. According to the FAQs on Schell Games' website, Among Us 3D is designed as a standalone experience.

The developers noted, "Separating the versions during development allowed us to continue delivering quality updates to our Among Us VR community while crafting a unique and tailored experience for our new PC players."

Wishlist Campaign

Among Us 3D is now up for wishlisting on Steam, and Schell Games has launched a campaign called the Powered By Wishlists Challenge. By reaching certain wishlist milestones, fans can unlock a series of in-game rewards. Here's what you can look forward to:
