What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered

After completing the main quest, you can continue to engage with virtually all the activities available beforehand. Assassin’s Creed Shadows features a vast open world set in Feudal Japan, brimming with side content. Completing the main quest does not restrict access to these additional activities, allowing you to fully explore and immerse yourself in the game's world.

Additionally, post-launch, the Animus will introduce new weekly challenges, ensuring there's always something fresh to do, even after achieving 100% completion.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

Even after the credits roll, the story might not be over. In my playthrough, the title and credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet earned trophies for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. To unlock the epilogue and true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro, then return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will grant you the complete ending of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the associated achievements.

You'll also unlock exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke near the end of the game. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s playstyle and are sure to delight long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.

As for endgame content, players can continue to progress well beyond the credits, reaching the game’s maximum level cap.

What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, there’s much more to anticipate. New content will be added through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with new items. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, taking players to the Island of Awaji and adding over 10 hours of new content.
