The Animal Friends mod by annanomoly on Nexus Mods is your best bet. This handy mod not only automatically pets your livestock daily but also feeds them, saving you precious time. Important note: you'll need the Mods of Mistria Installer to use this mod—it won't work without it.
Here's how to install the Animal Friends mod:
- Create a new folder named "Mods" in your *Fields of Mistria* game directory.
- Download the AnimalFriends.zip file from Nexus Mods and place it in the "Mods" folder.
- Extract the contents of the zip file. You can then delete or move the original zip file.
- Run the Mods of Mistria Installer to install the mod.
The Animal Friends mod offers several customizable features: auto-petting, auto-feeding, a friendship multiplier, and prevention of friendship loss. The friendship multiplier boosts the hearts your animals gain, while the friendship loss prevention ensures those hard-earned hearts stay put.
To adjust settings, locate the AnimalFriends.json file within the extracted mod folder. This simple text file lets you tweak the mod's behavior. To enable a feature, change "false" to "true," and vice-versa to disable it. For example, to enable auto-feeding: ["auto-feed": true]
The friendship multiplier requires a numerical input between 1 and 100. A setting of 100 bypasses the need for bonding, while 1 disables the feature.
By default, auto-petting and auto-feeding are off upon installation. However, the mod does multiply heart gains from petting by five and automatically activates friendship loss prevention.
To remove the mod, don't simply delete the folder. Use the Mods of Mistria Installer to uninstall it properly, preventing potential save file corruption.
Before installing any mod, always back up your save file. While generally stable, it's always wise to be prepared.
