Attention all Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a grand return in the latest update for The Sims 4. Rolling out on both PC and consoles, this update reintroduces the infamous Robin Banks. It's time to secure your valuables because she's notorious for sneaking into homes under the cover of night, though she's been known to attempt a heist even when your Sims are awake. Stay vigilant!
To fend off this thief, your Sims can install a burglar alarm. If Robin Banks triggers it, the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend her and recover your stolen goods. Even without an alarm, you can still call the police, but you'll need to act fast. Alternatively, if you're feeling bold, take matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice. The choice is yours.
The Burglar is now part of The Sims 4, over a decade since its initial release. While these events are rare by design, thrill-seekers can increase their chances by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc.
"We are ecstatic to bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," shared the team behind The Sims. "A huge thank you to our entire team for making this happen. Robin Banks isn't just here to rob your Sims' houses—she's here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims' 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We can't wait to see the chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."
Even though The Sims 4 is now 10 years old, and the franchise itself is celebrating its 25th anniversary, it's still thriving. Last year alone, it attracted over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players as a premium game. However, after going free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
