Bendy: Lone Wolf is another take on the Ink Machine franchise coming to mobile in 2025

Author : Jacob Update:Jan 27,2025

Bendy and the Ink Machine is making a mobile comeback with Bendy: Lone Wolf, a new title slated for release on iOS, Android, Switch, and Steam in 2025. Building upon the gameplay established in Boris and the Dark Survival, Lone Wolf promises an expanded experience.

Remember the quirky survival horror that captivated audiences in the mid-2010s? The episodic format, distinctive rubber hose-style enemies and environments, and compelling narrative made Bendy and the Ink Machine a massive hit. Now, the franchise is returning, and mobile gamers are in for a treat!

The reveal trailer (link below) showcases Bendy: Lone Wolf's top-down, isometric gameplay. Players seemingly control Boris the Wolf, navigating the perilous depths of Joey Drew Studios.

The original Bendy and the Ink Machine, along with spin-offs Nightmare Run and Boris and the Dark Survival, are already available on mobile. Lone Wolf appears to borrow heavily from Dark Survival, though its exact relationship to the latter remains unclear – is it a definitive edition or a completely new experience?

A New Chapter

Regardless, the Bendy and the Ink Machine franchise retains significant popularity. It's often cited as a key player in the early wave of mascot horror games, alongside the iconic Five Nights at Freddy's.

The success of Bendy: Lone Wolf will hinge on its execution. While not the first isometric survival horror game featuring Boris, its multi-platform release (including Steam and Switch) suggests lessons learned from the previous mobile entry will translate into a more refined and potentially terrifying experience.
