In a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Bethesda's official account teased an announcement set for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, which will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch. Although the specifics of the announcement were kept under wraps, the prominent "IV" and the background, reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly hint at what's to come.
The journey to this point has been filled with speculation and leaks. Initial whispers of an Oblivion remaster surfaced in 2020, thanks to a leaked Bethesda release schedule from the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023. That document suggested a remaster was planned for fiscal year 2022, but given the time that had passed, it was unclear if the project had been shelved. However, a significant leak in January of this year suggested otherwise, describing the project as a comprehensive remake developed by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The rumors gained further credibility last week when additional leaks from Virtuos' website surfaced, showcasing images of the remake in progress.
Should these latest leaks hold true, fans can look forward to The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered launching on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. A Deluxe Edition, complete with the iconic horse armor, is also expected to be available alongside the standard version.
Don't miss out on the excitement—tune in tomorrow to catch the official confirmation and glean more details about this eagerly awaited release.
