Brawl Stars, the dynamic multiplayer game developed by Supercell, continues to thrill players with its expanding array of brawlers. The latest addition, Buzz Lightyear, introduces a thrilling twist as the first limited-time brawler, available until February 4th. The urgency to unlock and master this unique character before he departs from the roster has sparked enthusiasm among players.
Buzz Lightyear stands out with his ability to choose between three distinct combat styles before entering a match, providing unparalleled versatility. This adaptability allows him to excel in various game modes. Here’s how players can maximize Buzz Lightyear's potential in Brawl Stars.
How To Play Buzz Lightyear?
Buzz Lightyear is a limited-time brawler that players can unlock for free from the in-game Shop. Upon unlocking, Buzz is already at Power Level 11, fully equipped with his Gadget. He does not have any Star Power or Gears, but comes with a Gadget called Turbo Boosters, which enables him to dash forward, either to engage an enemy brawler or to escape a perilous situation.
Buzz also features a unique Hypercharge called Bravado, which, although not offering passive buffs, temporarily enhances Buzz's stats for a brief period. This Hypercharge and Gadget are accessible across all three of Buzz Lightyear's combat modes. The following table details Buzz Lightyear's modes, including his Attack and Super damage values:
Mode | Image | Stats | Attack | Super |
---|---|---|---|---|
Laser Mode | ![]() | Health: 6000 Movement Speed: Normal | Damage: 2160 Range: Long Reload Speed: Fast | Damage: 5 x 1000 Range: Long |
Saber Mode | ![]() | Health: 8400 Movement Speed: Very Fast | Damage: 2400 Range: Short Reload Speed: Normal | Damage: 1920 Range: Long |
Wing Mode | ![]() | Health: 7200 Movement Speed: Very Fast | Damage: 2 x 2000 Range: Normal Reload Speed: Normal | Damage: - Range: Long |
Each of Buzz’s combat modes has a clear purpose. Laser Mode is ideal for long-range combat, with attacks that cause a burn effect on enemies, leading to damage over time and posing a challenge to counter. Saber Mode is tailored for close-range engagements, featuring attacks similar to Bibi’s and the Tank Trait, enabling Buzz to charge his Super when taking damage. Wing Mode acts as a versatile option, performing best when Buzz is near his opponents.
Which Is The Best Game Mode For Buzz Lightyear?
Buzz Lightyear’s unique combat modes make him a versatile choice for various game modes in Brawl Stars. In maps with confined spaces, such as those found in Showdown, Gem Grab, and Brawl Ball, Saber Mode proves highly effective. His Super allows Buzz to land precisely on a targeted spot, making him especially potent against Throwers. For more open maps in modes like Knockout or Bounty, Laser Mode excels. The burn-over-time effect allows Buzz to pressure opponents by delaying their healing, particularly if they lack healing capabilities. Even with reduced health, he can push aggressively, securing rounds in Trophy Events or the new Arcade Mode.
Buzz Lightyear is not available in Ranked Mode, so players must focus on grinding his Mastery in other game modes. As a limited-time brawler, his Mastery cap is set at 16,000 points, making it achievable before he leaves the game. The table below outlines the rewards for each rank in his Mastery track:
