BrownDust2 Drops a New Update Onsen Training Featuring a New Story

Neowiz and Gamfs N have unleashed the first content update for BrownDust2 since its December 1.5-year anniversary celebration. Dubbed "Onsen Training," this update brings a fiery new adventure to the game.

Journey to a Japanese winter hot spring for sword-fighting battles and unique BrownDust2 challenges, spiced with a dash of mischievous monkey business. It's a fun and unpredictable experience.

BrownDust2's Onsen Training: A Deep Dive

The update introduces three new characters: Ventana (the story's protagonist and available via the pickup draw), Liberta (also available via the pickup draw), and Blade (exclusive to the storyline).

The Onsen Training event unfolds within the same universe as BrownDust2's Character Pack 1: Jayden's Gate, featuring 30 battles across 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.

Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, seeks to regain her honor after a recent defeat. Her training at a snowy mountain hot spring, however, is disrupted by playful Snowy Mountain Monkeys. Rescued by the legendary Kendo Club graduate, Blade, Ventana's training request is initially refused. Liberta, the hot spring manager, intervenes, promising to help Ventana secure Blade's tutelage.

A New Mini-Game Enters the Fray

"Onsen Tile Tactics" challenges players to clear tiles against the clock. The event story is divided into phases: "Legendary Graduate" (week one), culminating in "Beyond Legend" (week three).

Players will face returning and new bosses. Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter, returns in week one, while week three introduces the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a colossal monkey whose power increases when targeting enemies with DoT effects. Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut as a Guild Raid boss, boasting devastating attacks and demanding significant chain stacks to defeat.

New gear and costumes are also up for grabs. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume, available until February 13th.
