Unlocking the Secrets of the Lion's Crest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

This guide details how to initiate and complete the bonus quest, "The Lion's Crest," available to players who pre-ordered Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This quest rewards players with valuable items.

Starting the Lion's Crest Quest

Once you've finished the tutorial and gained access to the open world, locate the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. Speaking with him will initiate the quest, providing you with a cryptic riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick's polearm. You'll need to gather the necessary materials yourself to craft the weapon at the blacksmith's forge.

Deciphering the Riddle

The riddle reads:

"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."

The riddle's solution involves navigating Trosky Castle, exiting through the northern gates, and heading north through the forest.

Locating Brunswick's Armor

The quest involves finding four pieces of Brunswick's armor, guided by treasure maps obtained after solving the riddle.

Map 1: Continue along the road leading from the chapel (found by following the path described in the riddle solution) westward to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to find a wolf den; the armor is located in a nearby tree.

Map 2: Travel to the outpost at Vidlak Pond. Behind the fisherman's house, locate a large rock formation along the cliffs. The chest containing the armor is near a cross.

Map 3: Fast travel to Zhelejov, leave the tavern, and cross two bridges towards Tachov. A small path leads to the river and forest; follow it to a hill where the armor is found near a large tree.

Map 4: The final map leads to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Locate rocks with a cross on top to find the last piece of Brunswick's armor.

Completing the Quest
