Call of Duty: Warzone Experiencing Lobby Crashing Issue

Call of Duty: Warzone players are experiencing game freezes and crashes during loading screens, sometimes resulting in unfair penalties. While a complete fix is still under development, developers have implemented a temporary solution.

Temporary Fix Implemented:

Following player reports of freezes and crashes beginning January 6th, 2025, Raven Software responded on January 9th. They've temporarily suspended Skill Rating (SR) penalties and timeouts for players disconnecting before joining Ranked matches. This addresses player concerns about unjust penalties caused by the ongoing bug. Penalties will still apply for players leaving matches in progress.

Ongoing Issues and Developer Response:

This latest issue adds to a series of challenges for Warzone in recent months. Despite a major update in early January 2025, bugs persist, including previous issues with matchmaking and cheating. The Trello bug tracker still lists the loading screen crash as unresolved, highlighting the ongoing efforts by Raven Software to address these problems. While the temporary penalty suspension offers some relief, a permanent fix is eagerly awaited by the player base.

In short: Warzone's loading screen crashes are causing frustration, but a temporary fix for the associated penalties is now in place. The developers are actively working on a permanent solution.
