Uncover Master Schindel's Missing Treasures in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Embark on a captivating side quest within the main storyline of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in Kuttenberg: Master Schindel's Toys. This guide will help you navigate the challenges of retrieving Master Schindel's stolen belongings.
To begin Master Schindel’s Toys, you must first initiate the main mission, "Into the Underworld." This involves tracking down an informant known as Goatskin. Begin your search by speaking with the Bathhouse Madam, followed by Adam. He'll reveal that Goatskin is the culprit behind the theft.
Finding Goatskin requires a bit of cunning. He’s elusive, so you'll need to draw him out. While you can try speaking with Lousy Mary, interacting with Udo, a bathhouse customer who appears in the evening on the first floor, offers a more straightforward approach. Follow Udo discreetly; Goatskin will attempt to rob him in a nearby alley, presenting your opportunity for a confrontation.
Beyond information about Liechtenstein, you can try to acquire a map from Goatskin. If you fail the skill check, bribery will suffice. He'll reveal the location of the "Map of Kuttenberg Underground" on a corpse at the Kuttenberg gallows, situated southeast of the city.
Retrieve the map from the hanging body. While the map assists in navigating the Kuttenberg Underground, this area is notoriously labyrinthine and easy to get lost in.
Locating the Stolen Items: A Direct Route
For a quicker resolution to Master Schindel’s Toys, locate the northern entrance to the Kuttenberg Underground. You'll find a ladder leading down. Remember to equip your torch, as the underground is completely dark.
Once underground, consistently turn left at every junction. You'll encounter a barrel at a dead end, and at one point, you'll need to descend to a lower level. Continuing this pattern will lead you to Goatskin's hidden stash. Examine the barrel to recover the book and astrolabe.
Retrace your steps to the surface. Master Schindel is typically found on the northeastern side of the city during the day. Return the stolen items to complete the quest. While initially displeased, he'll become more receptive upon receiving his belongings and will share insights into the astrolabe and planetary movements.
Completing Master Schindel’s Toys yields reputation points and rewards, making it a worthwhile side quest despite its brevity.
